I'm not sure what to think about Nwosu.. clearly the team liked him from the start.

I never heard of the DT before today. So, I'll reserve judgement. He's only a reach to any of us because there were other players we'd seen consistently ranked higher in the media. Tommy Tobasco consistently talks about trusting your board. And, as I noted earlier, these second day boards are all over the map. I have to trust the team here

84. Justin Jones, DT, NC State

Grade: B

He has the power to improve the run defense for the Chargers, who struggled with it last year.

48. Uchenna Nwosu, LB, USC

Grade: B-

He is a smallish pass rusher, but Gus Bradley will use him a variety of ways. Flexibility is important.

Nwosa is the LB I wanted in the 2nd since Fleet turned me on to him, and I like a 300+lbs DT who can get upfield. And zero trades. Good draft so far.

We added depth on the DL, so it was a good day. Thrilled might be a stretch, but it wasn't a bad day. The top end talent was thin on this draft, so I was not expecting much. The strength of this draft was defensive depth, so we are in as good shape as can be expected.

Nwosu and Jones are going to help our DL play.

Reviewing all the grades on CBS, B is an average grade. So Im just expecting too much.

we upgraded all 3 levels of the D, and that was what we needed to do in this draft. So its been a solid draft.

On the ESPN postgame show rhey asked the 3commentators who did the best job.. Louis Riddick said it was the Bolts for strengthening their D up the middle.

That makes me feel better.

I know we took a DT in the 3rd, but I really wouldn't mind doubling down on another tomorrow. Hurst becomes increasingly attractive with each passing round where the risk is more worth it.
